Hi from Norway, thanks for the great tips. I wonder, exactly how much acid is normally used, both for vinegar and muriatic? (What is the % of both?) is it equally distributed on the back of the mirror? Is it applied in multiple layers? Basically, what would be your best tip to get the same big cracks as the second last mirror? Many questions here, but I just discovered this trick today, so just noobing myself a littlebit here. Any advise is much appreciated, thanks!

Hmmmm...I'm not sure that it would be able to. It's the whole backing that needs to basically come off. I think if you tried to do it through the seams you would burn the back of the wall as part of the solution is an acid.
