I’m not one to decorate the house for Valentine’s Day but I thought I’d try a simple garland. I’m not a fan of the color red in my decor {unless it’s Christmas} so I chose light pink and hot pink.
Isn’t a cute Valentine’s Day garland??
I thought I’d hang it somewhere other than the mantel.
So darling!
I ran some long twine through the hole-punched hearts and then used a tiny clothespin to hold it in place.
I found these cute pre-cut hearts from Michael’s and cute pink trim!
I started with a dab of hot glue on the back and wrapped the trim around about 3 times. You might need to add some hot glue to some areas to keep it all in place.
Here it is hung in another area of my home. This is in the foyer with some leftover tissue pompoms from my baby’s girl’s birthday party.
Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! xoxo
Your garland is very cute! But I also had to comment on your diamond ring too, because I adore diamonds. Your ring is smokin’ hot.
I also made a heart garland but it is very non-traditional and it so went up on my mantle. I posted it on my blog this week.
haha, thanks Stacy! My hubby had it designed by copying a Tiffany design.
I’m going to check out your heart garland now!

I love everything heart related. Beautiful job. Though, at one point, who could notice any of your adorable hearts when there is a beautiful ring gleaming in the pictures 🙂
haha, very true. It doesn’t look pretty big in that shot!
Hugs, Jamie
Very cute! I actually just did a similar garland using yarn and hearts made from Victoria’s Secret boxes – they’re the perfect colors! – but now I’m inspired to make another using the bits of lace and ribbon I have sitting around.
Here’s the yarn-wrapped garland post if you wanted to check it out: http://monamye.com/2015/01/23/diy-yard-wrapped-valentines-heart-garland/
