I’ve been sharing with you my basement makeover this week:
Playroom Reveal and
I just have one last post to share with you. Just a few cute details 😉
I made this little bed for my daughter’s dolls. It sits in the window we had put in.I made a pillow and doll bed from a pair of old curtains. It was really easy to make. I just stitched upfour sides and stuffed it with some polyfill. I also made a tiny pillow. The crocheted blanket was a thrift store find.
Another sweet detail is the names of my kids here:
I Mod Podged scrapbook paper to white wooden letters from Michael’s {to just the tops of
the letters}. That’s it! And luckily both names shared a common letter so I could play
scrabble art with them 😉
This old bookcase came with the house:
To give it some new life, I just painted it grey and now it’s our reading corner bookshelf!
The last place I haven’t shown you in the basement is the staircase.
It was pretty scary before:
Now it’s been transformed with a cute chalkboard sign and art work. It’s a low ceiling so
you have to duck, hahaha
This piece of art I found at Home Sense. Sums it up pretty perfectly if you ask me!
One more time, here’s the yuckiness:
I’m pretty happy with the way it all turned out and my kids love it too 😉
Super wow!Amazing transformation!

Gotta LOVE Homesense! Probably one of my favourite stores… love the little dolly bed and the scrabble letter names – I had my boys names like this with a little gallery of cute pictures around it but then had to take it down to make room for our board and batten in the hallway…. looking for somewhere to redo it now:) Starting to run out of wall space!! Adorable room Jamie!!
Krista
OMG what would we do without Homesense?? LOL I love your board and batten hallway! I’m running out of wall space too 😉

Great transformation! In Texas we have attics which stay nice and toasty all year. My family lives up north and I say it every time I visit… I wish we had a basement!
Thanks again for sharing on Much Ado About Monday!

This is amazing! I found you while searching for paint colors for a basement playroom/family room. I love the wall colors, looks like just a hint of color which is what I am looking for since I don’t have much light down there. Do you mind sharing your paint color? Thanks!
Hi Kelly! Thanks for stopping by! The paint color is Benjamin Moore French Canvas. I’m going to be doing source guides for all my rooms soon. The color looks really good with beiges and greys.
