Creating A Cozy Home

I will show you how creating a cozing home is easier than you think!

I can’t tell you how much I love Christmas {a lot}. But I also can’t tell you how much I love when it’s all over!

As soon as Boxing Day comes, I’m itching to put all my Christmas decor away especially since every year it comes out earlier and earlier.

January seems like such a slower, cozier month which I love mostly because I’m a homebody and because it’s so cold outside.

So today I’m sharing with you parts of my beatiful home that are newly decorated with some gorgeous decor items and how I create a cozy home…according to me 😉

Creating a cozy home poster.

I love when adding just a few simple touches make a room cozy. I added a whisper grey soft knitted throw to my couch.

I brought in a pitcher from my dining room and used it as a vase..adding some beautiful white and green hydrangeas.

A neutral couch with a throw blanket and pillows plus a white ottoman with flowers in a vase.
White hydrangeas are in a silver pitcher which is on a tray on the ottoman.

Then I decorated the fireplace mantel with just a few simple items. It feels good to have a lot of white space after all the red Christmas decor.

I decided to keep the crocks there..because you all know how much I love my crocks!

There is a white fireplace and mantel with a black screen in front of it and a mirror above the mantel.
There is a French vintage mirror above the fireplace mantel and two crocks beside the fireplace.

And welcome my new piece of furniture a console table!!

I’m so excited about this piece of furniture. I’ve been looking around for a table like this for ages and finally bit the bullet and bought it at RH.

I like adding baskets to a rustic piece to make it a bit cozier.

Restoration hardware console table with wicker baskets on it.
There are pictures and a metal tea cup holder on the console table.

I luuurve these little cotton balls! I have no idea what to call them because they are from my BBFF Jenna from way down South and I’m up here in Canada so we rarely see them! Don’t they look cozy??

I love keeping my rustic/industrial/French look with just a few touches of homespun coziness.

Twigs of cotton are in a white pitcher on the table.

Here’s a room in my house you’ve never seen before. And it’s just a sneak peek 😉  Welcome to my bonus room!

If you’ve been following my dining room adventures, you’ll notice that this was in my dining room. Well, I’ve been wanting it up here for awhile, hence, the new piece of furniture in my dining room.

French white cabinet.
There are two lamps on the white French cabinet.
Mercury glass lamps.

Oh..and look at this….new lamps too!!

I just got these beautiful mercury glass lamps from Kirkland’s online. I’m so happy with them! And the price was ah-mazing.

Pictures in frames are on the white table.

In my master bedroom, I’ve been changing it up a bit with some pretty indigo.

The pillows are from RH and the throw is from Indigo {ha, an indigo throw from Indigo!}.

{the pillows are nearly sold out at RH and the throw has sold out at Indigo}.

There is a white armchair and blue pillows on it.

What about you? Have you been cozying up your home this January?
