My work (project & photography) were published in

My work (project & photography) were published in another magazine last month and so I counted all the published magazines I’ve been in and it totals 23. With my published book, French Vintage Decor, that makes it 24 which is my favorite number! 💚 It’s something I always dreamed of and I never thought I would have so many! I do it because I love it, not because of $ as often there is little or no $ earned (not including my book). But it does establish your creativity and soooo good to put on your media kit and resume. There’s been a tremendous amount of work that has gone into my blog, photography and book that it’s definitely been labour of love (at least my blog makes money!) And even with the pivots my life has taken me with my interior design business and working at @californiaclosetsbc, these published works is where it all started!! And this was after working 13 years for surgeons. You just never know how your life will turn out and I’m still navigating that as a single mom to two busy kids. But I’ll never stop dreaming and achieving my goals! .

I still have this breakfast-in-bed tray that I made with artwork from the kids. It’s an easy project for a last minute gift idea. You can paint a breakfast-in-bed tray or not. Then decoupage some floral scrapbook paper on the tray, let dry then add some artwork that the kids created. 🌸 Also did you know you can just use white school glue to decoupage??
