Aren’t you glad it’s finally spring? Didn’t it seem to take forever to get here this year??
We’ve been having a wonderful Easter long weekend spending time with family and enjoying the (rainy) outdoors.
I wanted to bring some spring indoors and rummaged through my craft cabinet to find an easy spring craft to make.
I made something that looks like a wooden postcard reusing some old calendars and twine.
Let me show you how.
I was planning on doing something with the wood piece but now I don’t remember so I grabbed it out and I also grabbed an old calendar that featured birds and flowers.
I painted the piece of wood with grey craft paint then flipped through the the old calendar to find pieces that would be great to cut out.
Once I had my pieces cut out, I used Mod Podge to glue the pieces onto the wood then put Mod Podge over top of the pieces as well.
Once it was dry, I tied pink and white twine over the whole piece in a random pattern.
I honestly didn’t know how it was going to turn out but I love it.
So adorable and spring-y in a moss filled basket.
I added it to my foyer with other spring/Easter decorating.
It’s a sweet little spring craft that can be used every year. It would make a lovely card for a loved one too.
Happy Easter everyone! And YA for spring!
