French Christmas Decor

I used elegant French vintage decor to decorate my house this Christmas!

Today I’m sharing more of my Christmas decorating and the French vintage touches I’ve added.

I’m also participating in a French Christmas blogging tour hosted by my friend Rachel of Maison de Pax so be sure to visit the other French Christmas tours at the end of this post!

The fireplace mantel decorated with a wooden mirror and wreath hanging on it, plus neutral Christmas stockings are hanging above the fireplace.

Putting French Christmas decor together is seriously something I don’t have to think too hard about, it just naturally happens for me.  I just gravitate to the earthy, neutral tones, beautiful grain sacks, rustic woods, dough bowls and Eiffel towers.

This new white Christmas tree is something that I love! I recently made this ‘Joyeux Noel’ sign with my Silhouette machine.

Then I bought this rustic mirror from a local store that was going out of business (the mirror is cracked, you can see how I fixed it and antiqued the mirror here) and the Christmas stockings I bought from there last year. I wish they still sold them but I found similar stockings here.

French vintage Christmas stockings are hanging from the fireplace mantel with a wicker basket below.

The flocked twig wreath is a Home Sense but this twig wreath is very similar.

Two candles are on either side of the fireplace mantel mirror.

I made my own crocks on the mantel recently. Update: here is a new post along with a video on how to make your own crocks!

The woodland twig trees I bought from Home Sense but this driftwood Christmas tree is similar.

There are rustic bells on the stockings that are hanging above the fireplace.

These snowy globe Eiffel tower ornaments are my favorite French items!

Oh and I can’t forget about my DIY sheet music wooden tag ornaments.

A vintage dough bowl is very European. I’ve used that wooden bowl and the 7-up crate in so many decor change-ups around the house.

Wrapping gifts in kraft paper and burlap gives a rustic vintage feel as well.

Christmas presents wrapped in burlap and brown paper with gold bows are under the tree.

The metal twig reindeer are from Pottery Barn and the rustic reindeer is from Home Sense a few years back. Pottery Barn now has these metal reindeer.

I didn’t add any Christmas decor to my bookshelves but you can see how they are already styled with French touches.

There is a fresh Christmas wreath hanging on the subway tile in the kitchen with a mini Christmas tree on the dining room table.

I hope you enjoyed this French Christmas tour.
