A Hometalk Garden Event
Recently I did a demonstration on how to make my French glazed plant pots and here are the pictures!
At the end of May, I attended a Hometalk Garden Event at Milner Gardens in Langley, BC and did a demonstration on my French Glazed Plant Pots.
I had a fabulous time and I did not puke (in case you read that post and were wondering).
I’ll show you the fabulous event and show you around the incredible gardens!
Do you remember I made a faux grain sack tablecloth? Well I made one with red stripes back in December. Turns out that after I washed it the paint came off! Thanks to my loyal reader, Chris, for asking the question (will the paint come off if washed?) Research and development was brought in (namely me) and washed it and turns out you have to use FABRIC paint. Duh. I painted it again with blue fabric paint! Thanks Chris 😉
So anyhoo, that’s the tablecloth I used for my demo booth.
I showed the steps involved in how to make my French Glazed Plant Pots and everyone seemed to really love them.
I made some with funny sayings like ‘Bee Nice’ and ‘I Will Survive’ with my Silhouette Cameo.
Crystal from Sew Creative was next to me. Thanks for keeping me company, Crystal! It was great to get to know you more 😉
Her Pallet Mason Jar Herb Garden created a lot of buzz at the event.
Tara from Suburble was quite popular that day also. She says it was because her booth was next to the cash register but I beg to differ.
I know it was really because of her super cool Nautical Mason Jar Lanterns.
Shelley from Sow and Dipity organized this fabulous event and also works at Milner Gardens.
She’s a ray of sunshine, I tell ya 😉
And her Mini Fairy Gardens were adorable and got a lot of attention that day.
We must be famous because Maryanne from Stimuli magazine was also there!
After the Hometalk Event, Shelley fed us delicious snacks then showed us around the greenhouses in behind Milner.
They supply hanging baskets to Costco (Canada), hello!
The irrigation system is so cool. The baskets move along suspended conveyor belts and get to a point where they are watered.
Genius!
Just another small greenhouse. Not!
Flowers for as long as the eye can see!
White flowers *sigh*
I want to picnic right in the middle of them. Shelley said no.
Baby flowers…aaaahhhh.
Thanks Shelley and Hometalk for throwing such a fabulous event and making us bloggers feel right at home.
And if you’re local, be sure to check out Milner Gardens in Langley, BC. They always have events going on.
