No Sew Christmas Pillow - So Much Better With Age

I love the idea of buying pillows for the home just for Christmas but I haven’t done it yet. Most of the ones I see are expensive. I’ve had this white pillow cover for ages and thought a Christmas word like JOY in red would make the whole throw pillow look festive. I came up with this idea that involves no sewing!

Directions:

  1. Print out large letters from your home computer and cut them out. You can use any Christmas-y word or design you’d like!
  2. Trace out the letters onto red felt.
  3. Cut pieces of fusible bonding web onto the back of the letters.
  4. Carefully flip over and iron down onto pillow.
  5. Tie jute webbing or a ribbon around the pillow to make it extra festive!

  1. So cute! What a great idea and I really like the touch of the ribbon. I don’t usually splurge on Christmas pillows but this makes the idea reasonable.

Also, love your entry….I crave an entry that has room for a table in the middle for wonderful displays!!!! Maybe one day.

  2. Love this pillow and all its elements – white, burlap and red accents. That is perfection for me!
