Take a Photo of Your Gifts

Taking a photo of your Christmas gifts can remind you to be thankful of what you have been given.

Take a Photo of your Gifts - So Much Better With Age

For years I’ve taken photos of gifts I’ve received. I used to set out all my Christmas gifts on the couch and take a photo of them. I was so happy for each one of them.

Then I started to do it when I went away on vacation and I’d take a photo of what I bought. Probably weird I know. If I went away on a shopping vacation, I’d take a photo of all my new clothes on the bed of my hotel room before I packed it. It was fun to see all my loot in one place.

It also reminded me of what I had. Sometimes I would think…oh I didn’t get that much but then I see the photo and remember and are thankful.

I thought it would be especially important for my kids to see all the beautiful and fun gifts they received at Christmas and at birthdays. Sometimes we soon forget all what we were given. Just show your kids that photo you took of all their goodies so they know they are blessed.

It’s also a nice way to see all their gifts in packages before they are all torn apart.

Here are a few examples of how I take a photo of all the gifts each year for Christmas and birthdays.

Dolls and stollers and books.

So remember to take a photo of all your kids photos this year!

  1. Oh I actually do that too so I don’t think it’s so Weird. In fact, one of our Christmas Traditions is to take a pix of each Child with their wrapped gifts all around them… and then another with all of them unwrapped around them… we feel almost like Pirates hitting the Motherlode of Treasures! *winks* I also do it with my Junquing forays and Share it with my Blog Friends on my Blog… and I enjoy seeing their Cache’s of Found Treasures too… it makes it all so interactive, like we went Treasure Hunting Together and can Celebrate each other’s Good Fortune! And I agree, in preserving these Blessings it makes us realize how abundant they have been and keep a Grateful Heart! Happy New Year… Dawn… The Bohemian
