I thought it was time to check in and give you some updates on things around here.
First, if you didn’t hear already, Give Me The Goods Monday link party is now over 🙁 So there will be no weekly link party here every Monday.
Perhaps that’s good news for you as a reader who doesn’t have a blog and has no idea what the heck a link party is anyway? In that case, you might want to sign up to receive emails from me now!
Just so you know, I will be doing a post here 3-4 times a week but probably more like 3 times a week.
You can sign up to receive the daily newsletter (which means you’ll only get one every time I post, not 7 days a week)
You can sign up for my weekly newsletter which is the 3-4 posts from that week in one compact email that gets sent out every Friday.
One link for either newsletter! How cool is that??
You can update your preferences whether you want daily or weekly newsletters at any time by clicking “update subscription preferences” at the bottom of your email.
there have a been few glitches recently with my newsletters where people seemed to be getting BOTH a daily and a weekly newsletter when they only signed up for one. Not cool! I know.
But that problem has now been solved!!
And if you want to stop receiving them altogether, not a problem. Just click unsubscribe at the bottom of the email.
I’ve updated my House Tour to show what flooring we used on our main floor and updates on our house colors!
Be sure to cheek out all the colors I’ve used.
Dining Room Progress
Now I thought I’d update you on my dining room progress.
Here’s the list and what I’ve done so far:
Paint dining room walls. Sand down table top and paint legs with AS Chalk Paint.
- Sand down white cabinet to a chippy white.
- Sand chair legs.
- Paint grain sack stripes on bench.
Replace white cabinet. Redecorate and reposition furniture.
Wow, 4/7 ain’t bad! Still have a few more things to do but it’s almost done.
Did you see my new dining room rug? Yeah, it’s not even on the list! I fell in love with this Mohawk rug and it really makes the room.
I even painted my kids’ art easel to match the room.
It’s always been in this room and I’ve been wanting to move it out for ages but I’ve just embraced it in here now.
That’s the white cabinet I still want to sand down and make it a more chippy white cabinet for our bar area.
It looks fine from afar but you won’t believe what my son did to it!
I also need to find or DIY some shelves for above it.
And I need to sand down all the chair legs. It will probably be the last thing I do since it doesn’t seem like a fun job at all!
So here is a before shot when we first toured the house.
And here’s how it’s looking now.
I don’t know, maybe we should have kept that carpet..NOT!
I have a lot more DIY projects lined up for around the house so I hope you stick around to see more before and afters.
