Hi Melissa,
The rug is actually just a leftover remnant of carpet from our basement reno.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

I love these tips, Eileen. It's always a challenge to organize but especially when you have collections!

Hi! You have given me so many wonderful ideas for my basement. Can you tell me what type of rug that is in the unfinished part? I have been wanting to do the same thing in ours.

I'm a collector, but am also pretty organized. I've used the same plastic tubs for years. Of course, they are built stronger than today's product. I lived in an apartment and dragged them into my shower with me many a time, cleaned them out and started over. I have an etsy shop that I'm working on for the small things and use facebook marketplace for larger stuff. I haunt the antique markets, etc and plan to touch base with some of the vendors to sell any bigger vintage/antique items I have, plus consignment shops. I've had many yard sales when I lived in a house, but I'm back in an apartment so am sorting, selling and donating to the local thrift shop. It seems like a constant effort, but I enjoy it as long as I don't get carried away with too much stuff. I have a rule, so many boxes allowed for Easter, Valentines Day, Christmas went a little overboard, but it will dwindle down. I now live where there are so many fabulous estate/house sales that is tough. So many treasures out there.
