Praline Snickerdoodles

The perfect holiday cookie!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 3/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup toffee pieces
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

To roll balls into:

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, beat butter on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. Beat in sugars, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt. Beat until combined, scraping the bowl occasionally.
  • Beat in eggs and vanilla until combined.
  • Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer. Stir in remaining flour.
  • Stir in toffee pieces and pecans. Chill for 1 hour.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • In a small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon together. Shape dough in 1 1/4 inch balls and roll in the sugar mixture. Place balls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until bottoms are slightly brown. Transfer to a wire rack. Cool completely.
