The other day my thermostat wasn’t working. I thou The other day my thermostat wasn’t working. I thought it would need to be replaced but I finally got it working. Turns out the old batteries had leaked and it needed cleaning and that’s why it wasn’t working even with new batteries. Anyway, before it started working again, with a cold house, I decided to pull up my chair to the fireplace and found it so cozy!! I’m so glad it started working though because I was googling how to replace a thermostat and was worried I would be taking on new DIY project that evening. That’s the part that sucks about being single. But this is what I’ve leaned. 1) Even when I had a partner, I ended up doing most things on my own even if that meant hiring someone and 2) I can really figure out how to do all things on my own. Which is super empowering. It feels good to know that I got whatever life throws at me. And feels good to sit in front of my cozy fireplace with a good book whenever I want. 🥰💚🥰 #cozyfireplace #collectedhome Cozy winter

Can you believe it? Everything I’m wearing (except Can you believe it? Everything I’m wearing (except the black leggings in the last clip) has all been thrifted! I thought it would be fun to try them all on for you! In Jan 2025 I gave myself a sort of NY resolution to not buy any clothes. But then it morphed into only buying clothes from consignment and thrift stores. There are clothes that I have bought from consignment that aren’t shown here - these are only clothes I’ve found from thrift stores. (The Moncler black sweater was the steal of the year!) I didn’t think I’d find so much and some days when I go thrifting I find nothing. I have a secret… I’ve always had an old soul (and I have a secret… I’ve always had an old soul (and a love for vintage). I lived in many different apartments in Vancouver and they had to be old apartments with hardwood floors and lots of character. I’ve been collecting vintage since I was 17. I refinished a desk at this age and at 19 I upholstered my first armchair (you can see it in the room with yellow walls). I’ve been updating with paint since I was allowed to paint my bedroom at the age of 16 and in these photos you can see me painting a kitchen when I was 22. I bought my first place in 1999 at the age of 23, a loft on West 8th with a beautiful view of downtown Vancouver and I painted brand new cupboards white because I hate the orange color that was all the rage. Can you see the crock in this kitchen? That’s when I started first collecting! If there’s any indication what you should be doing as an adult, perhaps it’s what you’ve loved doing as a younger you. I’ve always loved interiors, I’ve always loved vintage, and I’ve always found it important to make the place I live beautiful, even if it’s just for a short time. #vintagehome #vintagehomeinspired #collecteddecor #vintageliving Collected home. 2025 was a year! I quit my job at California Clo 2025 was a year! I quit my job at California Closets after 2.5 years and found my love again for my blog. It’s been a wild ride having a blog since 2010 and then having my Instagram account hacked a few years ago, I really thought the universe was trying to tell me something, that I should pursue other things. Well, not just because I was hacked but I really did want to pursue other things and see where it could take me. I’ve tried many routes, all within the creative/design field: 📚I’ve had an online store 🕰️I’ve sold vintage items at markets 🗂️I’ve had my own interior design business 📈I’ve worked for a company being a design consultant And now I’m back at the beginning again...back at my roots with my blog and creativity. I have some things in the works for 2026 and I’m so grateful you’ve been here for this journey with me! Cheers to the New Year! #happynewyear2026
