When looking for a well-made sofa, checking the weight of it is a good indication it’s made with wood and not MDF. Peeking around under the sofa and looking for labels of any kind (usually underneath the cushions) helps too. I’ve had my crock collection since I was 18. I’ve actually tried to get away from these items but I’m always drawn in to each and every one of them. Lean in to what you love no matter how strange or non-trendy. It just happens that vintage is a thing now but it never used to be. No style, no problem! It’s true, you don’t need No style, no problem! It’s true, you don’t need to know your design style. I’m currently creating a digital product behind the scenes right now and it has got me thinking a lot about where you should start when you’re decorating a room and I thought back to how I came up with my design style. I didn’t do any quiz or questionnaire, I just honed in on my likes, things that I gravitated to and developed my design eye. My 50th birthday was super special!! First I went My 50th birthday was super special!! First I went to Whistler with my daughter, my best friend @rosiequinnstyle & her husband (who is also my friend) & my sister @ecrossle. It was an amazing time with dinners, spa sessions and bike rides. Then we were off to New York as my daughter has always wanted to go and then to Montreal as I’ve always wanted to go! So many people have told me that Montreal is like a little European city and they were not wrong. But I will say it’s like that but cleaner! The city was so clean and so beautiful. Definitely going back one day. I can’t believe being 🇨🇦myself that’s it’s taken me 50 years to get here but I’ll make sure I come back again soon. The best design inspiration comes from traveling 🧳 The best design inspiration comes from traveling 🧳✈️ I’m always so inspired by so many things, even the most mundane things like signs and bricks. I had the most amazing time in New York, my 7th time! And even though my daughter thought I was walking too slow for her, it was only to catch glimpses of so many incredible corners everywhere I looked. New York is different every time I go! And my daughter was in heaven! (We also listened to Frank Sinatra on repeat while getting ready each day in our hotel room - my heart is content 🤗) 💚

Happy birthday to me I guess Jokes aside I do no Happy birthday to me I guess Jokes aside I do not feel 50 if I take away the back and neck pain, short term memory loss and rapidly declining eyesight. Yes apart from those those I feel super young 😂 I’m happy to be alive and will own being a half-century antique! I’m priceless.
What is wrong with me?? I have so many reuseable What is wrong with me?? I have so many reuseable bags and for some reason I don’t want to let go of any. I tell women what to keep in their homes and yet reusable grocery has me stumped LOL. Also, I’m always decluttering. Anyone else relate? No? Just me? LOL
