Before you buy anything new, do this first. That Before you buy anything new, do this first.

That armchair has been in three spots in this room. Not because it’s the wrong chair - because I didn’t have a clear process for deciding where it belonged.

That’s exactly why I made the Keep, Swap, or Add Checklist. It walks you through any room in your house and tells you what to keep, what to let go, and what one or two additions would actually make a difference.

It’s free, it’s one page, and most people finish a room in about 10 minutes.

I will always take a wooden solid vintage piece over something new. What about you?

Oof that last one was a doozy 🫠🫣 I had to refilm Oof that last one was a doozy 🫠🫣

I had to refilm the split scene reel a few times to get it in the right part of the video. Definitely a learning curve and it will definitely be quicker next time!

There doesn’t seem to be a pattern as to the more complicated a reel is to film/edit in relation to the views.

And sometimes the easiest ones to edit get a lot of views...but not always.

I try to focus on the content itself and the delivery of how I present it can take a long time or not.

It’s a challenge but I’m sure it will become easier the more I do it.

And to remember...done is better than perfect!
So much fun to do a reader submission! In additio So much fun to do a reader submission!

In addition to what I’ve suggested here, I think a wooden tray or wooden cutting board in the middle of the kitchen island would be a great addition to adding more wood tones in the kitchen to coordinate with the dining room. Then you can add the few decor pieces that are already on the kitchen island on top of this wooden tray/board.

You love them and I love making them.

A living room designed right before your eyes. Remember, the biggest thing is scale of the furniture pieces (size in relation to each other). Doesn’t it make a huge difference?

Mixing old and new is my speciality and can’t wait to share what I have in store for you. So much going on behind the scenes. Welcome and hope you follow along!
It’s so much easier to see what designers call ‘sc It’s so much easier to see what designers call ‘scale’ when we see the comparison of items in the room that are not the right size!

It’s not such much the item itself but how it relates to other objects in the room. What do you think of the finished room?

WATCH TIL THE END 🫣 I can’t believe this happened WATCH TIL THE END 🫣

I can’t believe this happened!

I’ve had this piece from France for years. And then I used the smaller one for the second recording and I tried very hard not to break it.

Anyhoo, that is one way of getting rid of clutter. The fact is, I didn’t have any clutter to use as example because I love everything in my home.

And filling your home with things you love and not keeping things you don’t love, whether someone gave it to you or not, is the whole point of designing a home you love.

I guess if you’re having a hard time getting rid of it, you could break it 😂😂😂
