Steps 3-5 {Curtains}
You just followed Step 1 -2 in how to make curtains with blackout lining.
Now let’s go on to Step 3!
STEP 3
To measure the blackout lining, follow steps 1 & 2 adding 1-2 inches all around for leeway. You may need to stitch extra blackout fabric together to make enough for one panel. If you do, make sure to allow a 1 inch seam allowance. It doesn’t need to look pretty as you can see mine is all bunched up.

STEP 4
Now take your fabric curtain panel to the ironing board {leave the blackout lining for now}. Fold over 1/2 to 1 inch along each vertical side of the panel. Iron into place.

STEP 5
Tuck the blackout lining under one side of the vertical curtain panel. Pin and stitch into place.
