Home Style Saturdays
Welcome back to Home Style Saturdays!
I’m in the final stretch of my book as I hand in my manuscript Tuesday! This journey has been incredible. I knew doing 70 projects for a book in four months would be monumental but I didn’t realize how much I would learn.
Doing a blog post is going to be a cinch after doing all these projects. Sometimes I stall on these because I want them to be perfect (which is totally non-existent) and this book has made me just do it! I just get at the project after I come up with my plan for it and attack it. If it doesn’t work, so be it. Just do it again. And I have.
There have been a number of project fails and I’ve either had to do it again or the idea I came up with didn’t work out. The book has also taught me to be really good with my time management. Running a blog gives you a lot of leeway, of course. Other than the scheduled posts, I can really just post when I want and oftentimes I’m down to the wire creating, photography and posting which doesn’t allow me enough time to do the project over again if something goes wrong and then it’s stressful getting the post done.
Doing this book had made me hone my craft, not second guess myself and been great with just attacking a project and not overthinking things through. I love that I found these ‘new skills’ during this book journey. After 70 projects, doing a blog post should be really easy now!
Now let’s see what my fabulous bloggers friends have been up to this week.
