I cannot wait to see friends who I talk almost daily with. It’s such a great support system. We support each other with our blogs and personal life. It’s the one time of year we get together and have fun.
Previously when I’ve gone to Haven, I focused a lot on advertising and SEO classes. Those classes were obviously invaluable. But there are still things I haven’t put into practice yet from last year! There’s always so much to do for a blog that goes on behind the scenes.
This year I really want to do more hands-on classes like woodworking and photography/styling classes. I can’t wait to get my DIY on. And of course, I wouldn’t miss listening to Jenna’s talk (I’ll be front and centre with a little tear in my eye, so proud of you girl!!)
So as I’m getting ready to go, I wanted to share with you this exciting thing that happened to me.
I was published in a magazine!
Earlier this year, Focus on Adoption Magazine contacted me to see if I wanted to have my post 10 Things Not To Say to Your Adopted Children published in their magazine.
I was over the moon that they contacted me (little ol’ me!!!).
That adoption post of mine brings in more pageviews than any other post on this little DIY blog. Go figure!
So with lots of editing (we condensed it down from 10 to 6), I have a published article!!
Here is the issue on the BC Adoption website.
The website is a great resource for families looking to adopt or needing post-adoption support.
Thank you, BC Adoption, for having me a part of your family!
I’ll be sure to fill you in on what happens at Haven. Follow along via my Instagram account.
