Today is a public service announcement to all bloggers wanting to make more money or anyone thinking of starting a blog.
But before you turn to leave, just hear me out.
I’m also talking about friendship.
Not just any friendship, a wonderful connection! You know that rare type.
I never do a post like this but my BBFF just wrote this amazing ebook, so stay with me.
You know the girl, right? Jenna from Rain on a Tin Roof.
The one that started blogging the same time as me.
The one I shared a link party with for a couple of years.
The one that rooms with me every year at Haven.
The one that I jump on every year I see her.
The one that gets me back for jumping on her every year at Haven.
(Yep, I’m a boob grabber)
The one that steals plants.
The one that everyone thinks is my beautiful, younger sister.
Our styles? Completely different.
They couldn’t be more different in fact.
But we just get each other. Completely.
We also speak ‘blog’.
We get timelines, pressure, juggling kids while painting, and trying to convince every friend at home that what we do is ACTUALLY A REAL THING.
But you know how I like my friends funny, not only is she funny but she’s damn smart and she’s a great friend.
She’s so smart, in fact, she literally has taken her blog into a full-time income and I’m waiting for the day (huh-hmm!) for her to do that to my blog!
Want to know how?
Easy. Buy this book.
When Jenna asked me to proofread it, I ended up highlighting and tabbing so many pages! I actually emailed her back saying I know I’m a week late but half way through I just gave up proofreading and started to just read it. It’s that good. I mean, we went to the same conferences and have read the same information but that girl HUSTLES! She researches and analyzes.
WWJD. That’s what I’ve been saying for years.
What Would Jenna Do?
Read the book, then you’ll know what Jenna does!
Such a great post! Jenna seems like a wonderful gal!
Thanks Shawnna. She’s awesome 😉
Great pictures! I just purchased Standing Out. Can’t wait to start reading. Thanks for the tip, advise and encouragement. You have to start somewhere after all, “Rome wasn’t built in a day”!
That’s right Marci. I’m still learning a ton and it’s always changing!
Hugs, Jamie
