How to Make An Easter Egg Tree
This Easter egg tree is so easy to make and will sure to make a statement in your home this Easter.

Easter egg trees are a thing apparently. I’ve hung Easter eggs on a garland, added them to a mug rack with flowers and hung them from a stick but I haven’t done a tree yet!
It’s so easy to create and looks so pretty for Easter. You can use branches from your backyard or a local floral shop. I found these curly willow branches from a local florist.
Let me show you how to make your own Easter egg tree!

Supplies:
- a large vessel or container (I used a big crock)
- curly willow branches (I used 8 stems)
- double-sided tape
- pruning shears
- spanish moss
- Easter egg ornaments (I have these polka dot ones – so many adorable ones to choose from!)
Directions:
1. Place tape vertically then horizontally over the container leaving enough space in between for the large curly willow branches.
2. Place the stems in evenly spaced throughout the tape and having the curly parts of the stems facing outwards. You may need to cut or break off the bottom parts of the stem to shorten them.
3. Place clumps of spanish moss on top of the double-side tape and lightly press down. The tape will hold it in place. You can give the tree a hair-cut with pruning shears if it’s a bit too wild for your liking.
4. Hang Easter egg ornaments throughout the branches.
And that’s it! It’s now ready to display in any part of your home.
It looks great on my kitchen island along with my Easter egg nest cake. I’ll share the recipe with you this weekend!

DIY Vintage ‘Happy Easter’ Eggs
Mom always had the neatest Easter Egg tree, after she passed many years ago I have her tree – but display it on its side on top of my huge antique wardrobe. A few years ago I was cleaning up dust on top of said wardrobe and accidentally dropped – from a VERY high height – my beloved tried bleach branch of Mom’s. I was so upset.

We have had an Easter Tree every year for decades. We began when my children were very young and now they are in their forties! Our tree here now is much smaller than it was when the three children all contributed to the decorating of the tree, but it is still very meaningful. I too use vine maple branches from our back forest and I weigh down the metal florist bucket with rocks. I just set ours up and enjoyed putting all the years’ decorations on the smaller tree. It included small items with great significance…. eggs decorated by the children in preschool, small items from a baby mobile and precious bunnies from England that hung from their baby buggies. This way we get to enjoy these pieces of memorabilia every year. Little wooden ornaments from Europe, miniature garden tools, tiny baskets and special decorated eggs all have a place and then after Easter, the branches and weighty rocks get reused or recycled.
