Restyling Bookshelves
Built in bookshelves are the best but I definitely had a hard time styling them. See the final look here!
I never thought when I asked our carpenter to make built-in bookshelves in our living room that it would be sooooo hard to style! I wish now I didn’t have so many bookshelves. {You can’t see but there is another fireplace and two more bookshelves along this same wall! I’ll show you in another post.}
I’ve restyled these bookshelves more times than I can count. For my last attempt, I decided to stagger the shelves and put some bigger decor items in. I think it gives it a bigger impact. The ceilings are high in that room too as it’s a sunken living room. Anyway, here are my built-ins! I’ve considered painting the back part of them but that’s a little daring for me at the moment 😉
I love my white washed fireplace flanked by the two built in shelves.
