Fall Mantel Decorating with Leaves in Cloches + Video

Decorating with fall leaves is an obvious choice for fall but adding them in this beautiful cloche collection elevates the whole mantel.

Nothing says fall like fall leaves and adding them inside these glass cloches makes a grand statement on the fireplace mantel.

I’m excited to be joining a group of over 30 other talented bloggers for the Seasonal Simplicity Fall Series hosted by Krista of The Happy Housie and today we’re sharing our DIY fall mantels or vignettes.

Adding leaves to cloches

I’ve been collecting cloches and I knew I wanted to do something with them this fall. At first I thought I would do something with them on my dining table but the mantel was the perfect option.

I added the antique mirror I made for my book, French Vintage Decor. It’s very similar to my DIY antique mirror guide but in my book I added an extra step.

Cloches

From the left, the small cloche is from Ikea, oval cloche from Restoration Hardware, middle cloche from Home Sense, tall cloche (labelled as small online) from Restoration Harwdare, cloche with rope from Home Sense and the black cloche from a local shop.

  2. Jaime,
My husband made me a wooden base for my cloche and I will be using your great idea with the fall leaves I picked up today! Thanks!

  3. Fall is such a pretty time of year with all the beautiful colors in nature, and you have captured the heart of Fall so very lovingly.

  4. Jamie I LOVE this idea so much! So original and creative – you are so good! I might have to try something like this with my own cloches – aren’t they just the best for highlighting something? I wish we had leaves, ours haven’t even changed yet, lol!
