Thumbprint Cookies Using a Mini Muffin Tin
Enjoy these Christmas thumbprint cookies baked in a mini muffin tin.

These thumbprints cookies are made in a mini muffin tin so they are a bit larger and easier to add jam too. The perfect Christmas cookie!

Large Thumbprint Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup raspberry, strawberry or cherry jam
- 2 tbsp icing sugar (confectioner’s sugar)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 deg F.
- Cream butter and sugar together.
- Beat in eggs and vanilla.
- Stir in flour and baking powder.
- Scoop by spoonful into mini-muffin tin. Press an indent in each one with your finger or thumb.
- Spoon jam into the middle of each dough ball.
- Bake for 10-12 min until edges begin to brown.
- Cool. Sprinkle with icing sugar.

Hi! This recipe looks great! I just had a quick question – have you ever tried making these with regular sized muffin tins? I’m looking for a great base to fill with lemon curd, jam, and creme pat but worried about the full-size shortbread burning or cooking unevenly. Thanks!
