Beachy Boy’s Room
How I turned my little boy’s bedroom into a beachy room, while adding some industrial touches as well!

On Monday I shared with you some beachy home decor items I recently added and today I’m sharing with you my son’s room. I’ve never given you a tour of his beachy room before. I’ve been wanting to repaint his bedroom for awhile but let’s be honest, that may take forever so why not show it now?
Beachy Decor
You know how much I love my Industrial Beachy French. Well this room ticks off Beachy and some Industrial as well.
When we first moved into this house, my son was only 10 months old so of course he was still in a crib.

I had it painted this light blue colour (Behr Wave Crest).

I’ve been wanting to paint his room a darker bluish/grey color. All of his decor has been changed/passed down to his sister so he was lucky enough to score some new stuff.

I love this light fixture and bed. I bought them both at Restoration Hardware.
{There’s a source list at the end of this post}

I had an old metal bed growing up, it used to be my grandparents bed. So I really wanted a vintage looking metal one for my son.
And this one looks identical except that mine was a double.

I recently added those painted boat oars.

And that little locker on the dresser is from this faux zinc paint technique post.

The other side of the room holds a lounge chair for bedtime stories and a metal bookshelf for all his books.
You can’t see it because of the light but there is a humungous model sailboat on that bookshelf.

See? It’s ginormous! 45″ tall!

My son My hubby and I have wanted one in our home for a long time now.

This one is truly authentic with a complete rigging set up.

Have you ever wanted to be a sailor? Well you can with this sailboat! It rigs together just like a real one!

There is even an authentic inlayed stamp.

This ship was imported from the Netherlands.
But shipping is free!!

So hope you liked the little tour. I’m still planning on painting the bedroom (some day). You’ll be the first to find out!

So pretty, Jamie! I slept in a very similar twin bed growing up! 😉

Nice beachy room! My son also has a beachy room that I have never shown on my blog because it’s not “done” yet…will it ever be? Love the metal bed – and that sailboat!!
