Butler Pantry and Kitchen Office Updates
How I organized my butler pantry and updated my kitchen office which made a huge difference!
You might remember my butler pantry and kitchen office additions from two years ago.
With the new kitchen renovation, the butler pantry and kitchen office were given updates too.
Essentially the same but I’ll show you what was changed that made a huge impact on the kitchen.
Mini Butler Pantry
To remind you of the mini butler pantry, here is what came with the house. This ugly closet.
What’s not to love? Yuck!
The hallway off our kitchen is a long row of closets so this shallow one wasn’t needed.
The new changes include a Miele coffee maker, little cupboard for syrups and a place for my favorite cookbooks.
I wanted to keep it looking like a bookshelf still so that’s why I kept the area above for cookbooks.
The black granite was removed and quartz countertop was added to match the rest of the kitchen countertops.
I kept the beadboard there but subway tile in there would be amazing too.
It’s still the perfect place to keep my glass canisters with chalkboard labels. The bottom cupboard holds small appliances.
Kitchen Office Updates
Here is the blank wall that was ‘before’ the kitchen office.
It was a total waste of space.
The kitchen office updates include cupboards extended to the ceiling with crown moulding, new upper cabinets with glass fronts and a matching quartz countertop.
I added another French cross-back chair just like the ones in the eating area.
It’s the most used area in our kitchen (I’m a blogger!) so I’m so happy with the updates.
It’s great to think out of the box to find areas in your house to maximize and turn into useful, beautiful spaces.
Make sure to pin it for later!

It looks like your glass canisters have a good seal. I can only find ones like that without a seal. Where did you find yours? Thanks.
They do have good seals, Ann. I got them years ago at Ikea. Not sure if they still sell them but I’ve also seen them at Walmart and Pier 1 Imports 😉

Just wondering what the dimensions are for your desk? Wanting to add something like that for more storage and work space. Thanks!
Oh I’m sorry, I don’t live there anymore so I don’t know the dimensions.
