One Couch, Two Looks
Today I’m sharing two design boards where I’m sharing one couch and two looks.

I thought it would be fun to create two living room looks using only one couch. It gives you an idea of how differently you can style a room and change the whole look but keeping the sofa.
I love this Hamilton leather sofa. It’s my favorite color leather and it can go with so many different colors so this was my jumping off point.
For the first look, I wanted lots of texture and earthy tones.
First Look: Earthy Textures
The colors are warm and the different textures and colors add so much dimension to this otherwise neutral room.

- lamp: Galena
- vase 1 handle: Amphora
- vase 2 handles: Amphora
- pillow: Sabine velvet bolster
- pillow: Lena stripe
- pillow: Rainy mudcloth
Second Look: Traditional European
This look has traditional elements and also European. To me, anything that’s tufted and has curved legs says French. The soft artwork and fabric choices blend to add texture and they are not so much the same that they make the room boring.

So if you have a couch and you don’t think you can change the style of your room, I hope this helps you to see how differently a room can be styled.
Make sure to pin it for later!

I have a dilemma. I bought a sofa with rolled arms & camel back in a light taupe leather. It was expensive, plus I still like it. I would like to replace the wing chairs with something a touch more contemporary. I’m frozen on making a decision that might be wrong and would result in wasted money. Any suggestion for a style of chair that would compliment the sofa would get appreciated? Seeing this post has given me hope,
Hi Joanna,
There is so much you can do to decorate around one piece of furniture! It would be difficult to offer help without seeing photos. You’re welcome to check out my interior design services here: https://jamielundstrominteriors.com/edesign-services/
