I have put together a summer house tour for 2014!

Today we are kicking off a week of 23 inspiring house tours by some amazingly talented bloggers!

I’m going to share with you all the beachy / summer-y vignettes around my home. It’s easy for me since I love my Industrial Beachy French style.
It’s also fun to bring out DIY projects you made the year before like this shell wreath.
Be sure to check out all the other fabulous Summer House Tours at the end of this post!
Summer house tour poster.
In the dining room, I added some soft beachy elements to some wire baskets that I brought in from different areas around the house.
Wire baskets filled with Beachy items on top of a shelving unit in the dining room.
Up close picture of the cabinet with the beach elements on top of it.
And I love the summer elements in my living room.
There is books with twine and rope around a vase.
I love how the colors in these books match the sea glass in the jar. And isn’t the picket fence candle holder adorable?
Seagrass is in a wire basket on the shelf.
Sea shells and driftwood is an easy way to add summer decor to your home.
There is driftwood on the shelf next to seashells.
I shopped the house and brought a few things to the mantel to make it light and airy.
A jar is filled with seagrass that is a light purple.
Remember my new French mirror?
I bought these glass Pyrex jars years ago at a garage sale. Add lavender or sea shells to make them pop.
Crushed seashells are in a clear glass jar.
Just wrap some burlap and twine around a glass jar to add a beachy element to your decor.
A mirror is above the fireplace mantel.
I recently painted these oars for my son’s room. I have yet to give you a full tour of his room but soon, I promise!
Two rowing paddles is leaning against the wall.
And here’s a sneak peek of my new kitchen along with
my DIY summer cloche tray and French glazed plant pot.
A magazine may be coming over to shoot my kitchen soon! EEK
A cloche filled with seashells in on the kitchen counter.
And lastly here is a peek at our back deck that I just posted about with our ice cream party. Crazy that this neutral-loving girl has a colorful back deck!
An outdoor patio with chairs and a small table.
Thanks for joining me on my Summer House Tour today!
Be sure to check out these other fabulous bloggers’ homes.

What a lovely aesthetic you have. I can always tell I’m going to like a blog that’s new to me the second I open it, based on the header design (often just by font choice) and all that follows quickly below. So consider me a new fan, as I’m pretty new to the blogosphere. I love the way your vignettes impart interest through patina and varied non-colors. Love the woods, metals, stone and aged paper, all artfully placed. Thanks for sharing!

Our basement is the perfect place to store seasona Our basement is the perfect place to store seasonal / holiday / decor items. I’ve had plenty of it over the years (too much!) as I’ve been blogging for 10 years! I went through all my Christmas decor this year before I packed it all away and got rid of so much! It felt so good. 💚 Next, I’ll do the same for the other holidays coming up (like Easter, I have 2 bins just for Easter!). Decluttering is easier when it’s done in stages. I’m also really into minimal seasonal decor lately so I think it will be much easier to say goodbye to the extra ‘stuff’. 💚➡️ What about you?
