Last week I had the absolute pleasure of helping decorate and photographing my friend Meenu’s house for Christmas –M Designs Interior Decorating.
She was part of a neighborhood heritage tour and she had about 400 people walk through her home. It took a lot to get ready for it but the results were so worth it. Let’s take the tour!
Houses in this area are mostly heritage and although this is fairly new build she had it replicated to look old so it fits in perfectly for the neighborhood. The white with black shutters is gorgeous! I love the pops of red and fresh greens.
foyer and Staircase
A foyer is the perfect area to display a beautiful snowy Christmas village scene!
Having a beautiful staircase just screams for fresh garland at Christmastime, doesn’t it? I helped her hang this gorgeous greenland and beautiful wreaths that were actually candle wreaths.
Farmhouse Dining Room
A dining room with two gorgeous chandeliers, who wouldn’t want that? The wainscoting on these walls are so beautiful and the color is perfectly dreamy.
I brought in my Christmas tree that you might have recognized from my own dining room. I also brought in my little wreaths for the backs of her chairs with the little banners. Her solid wooden furniture goes so perfectly with this farmhouse.
For the avid SMBWA reader, you might even recall that I made the napkins and I have a tutorial for it!
The living room is so inviting and cozy. I love the black accents with the rich leather. You could cuddle up next to this fire and watch a Christmas movie.
Nook and Kitchen
Meenu has the most gorgeous nook and kitchen. The cooking and baking you could do here! *sigh*. She’s a designer so she picked every item, every light, every knob and had all the furniture made for the space. Stunning!
You might notice the vintage sled on her kitchen island is mine and remember when I used it in this Christmas post?
This powder room is so amazing and heritage-like with the transom window at the top of the door and that chandelier and vanity. Love every detail!
The front office is adorable with its French doors and brick fireplace. Have you ever seen a sweeter office?
Thanks for coming on this tour with me.
Make sure to pin it for later!
